Sgt. Ryan Menke, left, a McMinnville, Ore., native and Sgt. Keran Morrison, right, a St. Thomas, Jamaica native, both explosive ordnance disposal technicians with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, set charges during a pre-air show ordnance check aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Oct. 7. During the Miramar Air Show these Marines like Menke and Morrison will set off ordnance to simulate real explosions on the battlefield, which makes testing the equipment beforehand essential to the safety of the air station’s guests.
