Sgts. 1st Class Marty Vigil and Daniel Munoz, both

Sgts. 1st Class Marty Vigil and Daniel Munoz, both of 717th Brigade Support Battalion based in Roswell, N.M., responded to an emergency during Winter Storm Goliath Dec. 27, 2015. A citizen had left his home on foot to go to the store only to realize he was unable to return safely after he had fallen into a snow drift. He called 911 and the National Guard was dispatched to rescue the man. Vigil and Munoz safely assisted the man and also had to shovel off his roof in order to get him back inside his home.
