Summary

Smolders continue to burn at a fireline constructed by fire and emergency services personnel from Sierra Army Depot, during wildfires outside of Susanville, Calif., mid-August 2020. Sierra Army Depot -- which is responsible for delivering materiel readiness to the U.S. Army -- has mutual aid agreements with several fire departments throughout Lassen County, California to deliver fire and emergency support when available.
A series of wildfires has burned more than 30,000 acres of land near Susanville. Sierra Army Depot is located approximately 30 miles south of Susanville, in Herlong.
