The Colors of the Royal Air Force march past a flight made up of members from Squadron 512, Royal Air Force Regiment, RAF Honington, United Kingdom, as part of a ceremony on Sept. 18, 2004, to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the Battle of Britain. During World War II the German Luftwaffe began its attack against the United Kingdom on July 10, 1940, unleashing its bombers against Britain's shipping industry and conducting fighter sweeps over the southern coast of England in what would become known as the Battle of Britain.
