Barbara Barrett, Secretary of the Air Force, presented the medal to Germanovich for his actions during a fierce firefight in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, April 8, 2017. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
