The last week of the year brought frost, sleet, and snow to the mountainous training region of Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec 31, 2014. An uncommon occurrence in Southern California, the National Weather Service warned that mountain roadways could see snow and ice, which could include Interstate 5 through the Grapevine.
