The Steam Ship PETERSBURG, a US Navy tanker ship, sits in the ocean while the sailors prepare a single anchor leg mooring system (SALM) for sinking, just outside of the Port of Pohang in Korea, on Oct. 21, 1998. The PETERSBURG is the main player in an exercise that will allow the ship to pump petroleum products to the shore line in support of Foal Eagle '98. For the Foal Eagle exercise, only fresh water will be pumped through the ocean. Foal Eagle '98 is a deployment exercise that takes place once a year in Korea
