The US Air Force (USAF) SR-71 Blackbird, serial number 61-7967, trucked through downtown Shreveport, Louisiana (LA), on its way for its permanent roost at the Eighth Air Force Museum, Barksdale Air Force Base (AFB), LA. The reassembly will take place over the next few days and a dedication ceremony will take place on December 17th to celebrate the arrival of the jet, and the 100th Anniversary of the first heavier than air controlled flight of the Wright Flyer at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina (NC)
