US Air Force (USAF) Technical Sergeant (TSGT) Christopher Barnett and his military working dog (MWD) Rocco, both of Task Force (TF) 1041, search an area for explosives during a dismounted patrol near Balad Air Base (AB), Iraq (IRQ). TF 1041 is comprised primarily of Airmen from the 820th Security Forces Group (SFG), Moody Air Force Base (AFB), Georgia (GA), and supports Operation DESERT SAFESIDE during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, by performing patrols, searches, and engaging Anti-Iraqi Forces, these missions are traditionally performed by US Army (USA) units. This is the first time USAF Security Forces (SF) personnel performed such missions since the Vietnam War
