U.S. Army Soldiers with the 173rd Airborne Brigade (173rd) prepare to file onto an Marine MV-22B Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (VMM-263), Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 20.2 (SPMAGTF-CR-AF 20.2), Marine Forces Europe and Africa, during an on and off drill as a part of Saber Junction 20 at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, August 6, 2020. Saber Junction 20 is a 7th Army Training Command-conducted, U.S. Army Europe-directed annual exercise designed to assess the readiness 173rd to execute unified land operations in a joint, combined environment and to promote interoperability with participating ally and partner nations. SPMAGTF-CR-AF 20.2 is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
