U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Nolan Dean, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (Reinforced), 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Osprey pilot and native of Burien, Wash., pilots an MV-22 Osprey aircraft during a long-range tactical insertion at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., Sept. 26, 2013. The flight was the longest tactical insertion an Osprey has flown without landing. The MEU is scheduled to deploy in early 2014 to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations.
