Summary
U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Armando Garza, 22, from Madera, Calif., an expeditionary firefighting and rescue specialist, takes command of the situation and evaluates progress during a routine training exercise on Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 1, 2018. To increase effectiveness of the training, Marines treat the props as real aircraft, inspecting them and opening compartments throughout to ensure fires aren’t hiding in different areas. The exercise reinforces the skills firefighters are continuously taught to mitigate property damage and loss of life on Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Pfc.
