U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Colonel Giuseppe Stavale is the executive officer of the III Marine Headquarters Group (III MHG), engaging in Mission Oriented Protective Posture gear Level 4 during Marine Expeditionary Force Exercise 2017(MEFEX 17) at Range GP 304 on Marine Corps Base Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, April 26, 2017. MEFEX 17, a command and control exercise conducted in a simulated deployed environment, is designed to synchronize and bring to bear the full spectrum of III MEF, while remaining ready to provide the Marine Corps with an experienced staff capable of integrating with international allies and partner nations in a combined joint task force, charged with accomplishing a wide range of military operations.
