Summary
U.S. Marine Corps mine-resistant, ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicles utilized by Baker Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, drive through the open desert during Operation Lee, east of Gereshk, Helmand province, Afghanistan, May 4, 2014. The MRAPs were moving to their final staging area to provide security for the retrograde convoy of Operation Lee, which removed the last remaining International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) presence in Sangin and turned control of Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) Sabit Qadam and Nolay over to the Afghan National Army (ANA).
