U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Quinn Wells, left, machine gunner, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment (3/6), 2nd Marine Division (MARDIV), and Lance Cpl. Justin Dunkley, machine gunner, 3/6, 2nd MARDIV, reposition a Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun during the Assault Support Tactics training exercise for the Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) Course 2-14 on Yuma Proving Grounds, Ariz., April 14, 2014. WTI is a seven week training event, hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) cadre, which emphasizes operational integration of the six functions of Marine Corps aviation in support of a Marine Air Ground Task Force. MAWTS-1 provides standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
