U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Sarah Riley, Landing Support Company, CLR 45, feeds some pigeons in Plaza de Colon in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, June 20, 2014. U.S. Marines with C Company, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, soldiers with the Royal Canadian Army, as well as military and law enforcement from 13 partner nations participated in a culture day tour of Santo Domingo during Exercise Tradewinds 2014. The purpose of the cultural day was to allow participants to learn about the culture of the Dominican Republic and strengthen partnerships. Tradewinds 2014 is a joint, combined exercise conducted in order to build partner nation counter-transnational organized crime missions and humanitarian air and disaster response operations capacity and promote interoperability and multinational relationships throughout the theater.
