US Navy Rear Admiral, Upper Half (RADM) Jay M. Cohen (center), CHIEF of Naval Research, conducts a tour of the USN Fast Ship Frame Class, USS SEA FIGHTER (FSF 1), formerly the USN Littoral (near-shore waters) Surface Craft-Experimental (LSC-X), for Mrs. Lynn Hunter (left), the ships sponsor, and the Honorable Mr. Gordon R. England, the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV). The SEA FIGHTER is moored to the dock at the Nichols Brothers Boat Builders Shipyard, Freeland, Whidbey Island, Washington (WA), and will used to evaluate the hydrodynamic performance, structural behavior, mission flexibility, and the propulsion systems of high-speed catamaran style vessels
