New Orleans, La., Nov. 7, 2012 -- The Recovery School District has constructed Arthur Ashe Elementary School, a state-of-the-art 97,000 square foot Kindergarten through 8th grade school at the previous site of Bienville School, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.  The project consists of a two-story facility with classrooms, science labs, library/media center, computer labs, arts and music facilities, performance space, a commercial kitchen, cafeteria, gymnasium, office and student support services spaces. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
