In the afternoon of the 21st of April, 1996, in the small town of Visoko, a German Army Engineer, unveils a plaque dedicated to the opening of the Visoko Bridge beside him. The Visoko Bridge was rebuilt by German and Romanian Army Engineers during the months of March and April, 1996. Before the rebuilding of the bridge, the surrounding area had to be cleared of mines that were laid after its destruction. The old Visoko bridge had been destroyed in the beginning of the confrontations between Bosnian Muslims and Bosnian Serbs
