A U.S. Marine advisor with Task Force Southwest shows Afghan National Police officers how to perform a functions check on an M16A2 assault rifle at Bost Airfield, Afghanistan, Aug. 15, 2017. The ANP recently received new M16A2s, replacing their AK-47s, and were taught the basics of identifying parts, weapons maintenance, and how to conduct a functions check.
