The crew of a HH-60H Seahawk Helicopter, Helicopter-Anti-Submarine (HAS), Squadron 6, Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, San Diego, California, practice unprepared landing procedures in a remote area. Members of the HAS, Squadron 6 deployed to a forward operation location in support of Operating ENDURING FREEDOM. In response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 at the New York World Trade Center and the Pentagon, President George W. Bush initiated Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT), fighting terrorism abroad
