U.S Air Force Major James Masoner Jr., 27th Special Operations Security Forces Squadron commander, accepts the guidon from Col. David Piech, 27th Special Operations Mission Support Group commander, at the 27 SOSFS change of command ceremony, on Cannon Air Force Base, July 11, 2011. 27 SOSFS secures special operations forces aviation assets, equipment, and personnel in-garrison and at deployed locations. The unit provides law enforcement, information and personnel security, and pass and registration services for more than 6,500 Airmen, their families and and civilian personnel organized in 4 groups, 19 squadrons, 8 staff agencies, and 4 tenant units.
