A 11,355 L/H Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU), from the US Army National Guard, 131st Quartermaster Detachment (Water Purification), 136th Quartermaster Battalion, Grand Forks, North Dakota, purifies water. The clean water will then be distributed throughout Grand Forks, North Dakota to people returning to their homes after the Red River flood. Many of the people returning to their homes do not have running water or electricity. The water purification unit has cleaned over one million gallons of water and is one of six units in the area.
