Aircrews from two SH-60 Seahawk helicopters depart their aircraft after landing in the desert near Phillips Hills, New Mexico. The airmen and helicopters are from the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron, North Island, California, and are participating in Exercise ROVING SANDS '97 as part of the Red force. ROVING SANDS is a multinational effort and is the largest military exercise on United States soil that allows training in a joint environment to hone command and control procedures and integrate new systems in Theater and Air Missile Defense
