An F-15C Eagle from the 1ST Fighter Wing, Langley AFB, Virginia is moving into position for refueling with a Boeing KC-10A Extender from the 2nd Air Refueling Squadron, McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey. The KC-10A can carry more than 356,000 pounds of fuel in it's six tanks; almost twice as much as the KC-135 Stratotanker. During boom refuling operations, fuel is transferred to the receiver at a maximum rate of 1,100 gallons per minute
