Cherokee, N.C., March 15, 2013 -- Annette Wright, a FEMA Region IV Procurement officer, conducts a one on one workshop for potential federal contractors at the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians (EBCI) tribal office. Contractors interested in applying for federal contracts must use the System for Award Management System (SAM) website to register as contractors so that they may be eligible for contract work. FEMA is working representatives of the EBCI and the State of North Carolina to assist with road and other public work projects which which sustained damage during a severe weather incident earlier in the year.
