Summary

Members of the 26th Special Tactics Squadron stand in formation during a retreat ceremony dedicated to the memory of Senior Airman Mark Forester, Sept. 29, 2015 at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. Senior Airman Forester was a Special Tactics combat controller who coordinated close air support for special operations teams in hostile environments. He was killed in action when he put himself in direct line of fire to save a teammate’s life, Afghanistan, Sept. 29, 2010. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
