Summary
More than 40 Soldiers, civilians and family members of the 81st Regional Support Command join over 2,800 others in the 4th Annual Run/Walk For The Fallen at Fort Jackson, S.C., Aug. 16. The 5K event is meant to pay homage to those killed in battle in defense of the nation and many participants wear the name of a loved one on their runner's bib. Here, Sgt. 1st Class Joel Quebec wears the names of four fallen Soldiers in order of their deaths: Sgt. 1st Class Alwyn C. Cashe, Sgt. Myla Maravillosa, Maj. Michael L. Mundell and Staff Sgt. Marc A. Scialdo. Maravillosa was a personal friend and the others recently had Army Reserve centers in the 81st RSC footprint named after them.
