The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Collins Class Submarine Her Majestys Australian Ship (HMAS) RANKIN (SSK 78) sits pier side at Naval Base Pearl Harbor. The ship is participating in this year's Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2004 exercise. RIMPAC is the largest international maritime exercise in the waters around the Hawaiian Islands. This years exercise includes seven participating nations: Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States.
