This launch marked the end of the Scout Spacelift Program. The Last Scout Rocket lifted its payload into space from space launch complex 5. The payload was a Miniature Sensor Technology Integration-2 (MSTI-2) low cost high performance satellite that collects and transfers data for the DOD and the enivironmental research. This view is from E-Station Remote Unmanned Tracking sight near the launch pad of the SLC-5. The first Scout launch was 23 August 1962
