Summary
U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Parnell Sararana, left, and Sgt. Jesse Barrios, center, both New Horizons civil affairs, talk with U.S. Army Capt. Brian Joseph, New Horizons veterinarian, to discuss the value of veterinary care provided during a veterinary readiness training exercise, or VETRETE, April 8, 2014, in Chunox, Belize. Goals of the VETRETE included providing ample training for U.S. and Belizean veterinary technicians, as well as to boost meat production of the local livestock. The VETRETE was held in conjunction with a medical readiness training exercise, or MEDRETE, which offers U.S. and Canadian military doctors and nurses the opportunity to train and interact with their Belizean counterparts while providing medical care to the community. Free care will also be available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 14-17 at the Libertad Methodist School. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Kali L. Gradishar/Released)
