Whitney Baird (center), Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for West Africa and Security Affairs in the Bureau of African Affairs, U.S. Africa Command leadership and U.S. Ambassadors to Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, and a representative from the Office of Security Cooperation in Chad, participated in discussions about the Sahel region of Africa, in Stuttgart, Germany Oct. 8, 2019.
