Summary
Having won last year’s competition, the Minnesota National Guard was honored to host the 2010 National Honor Guard Competition at the 133rd Airlift Wing, Sept. 20-23. The four-day event pitted eight-member teams from eight states, all of which had taken their top regional honors. They were judged on their military bearing, appearance, and ability to execute a variety of tasks ranging from removing a casket from an aircraft to presenting a flag to a fallen soldier's next of kin. Judging the event were Old Guard soldiers who serve at Arlington National Cemetery.
