The US Navys (USN) newest and most advanced USN Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer USS CHUNG-HOON (DDG 93), sits moored at Ford Island after arriving at her new homeport of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (HI). After the arrival, the ships crew will prepare for their commissioning ceremony on September 18th. The ship is named in honor of Rear Admiral (RADM) (upper half) Gordon Paie'a Chung-Hoon, born and raised in Hawaii (HI) and awarded the Navy Cross and Silver Star for gallantry as Commanding Officer (CO) of USN Fletcher Class Destroyer USS SIGSBEE (DD 502) during the Battle of Okinawa. RADM Chung-Hoon was also assigned to USS ARIZONA during the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor
